A Woman’s Guide to

Health

Many health conditions women experience—ranging

from PMS to perimenopause to fatigue and more—are affected

by nutrition. Studies find even lumpy breasts can be helped with

the proper vitamins. Yet despite our best efforts, even following

a healthy diet may not be enough. That’s when nutrients—be

they vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or herbs—may be necessary.

Throughout this section, I explain many of

the most common health conditions that affect women, and provide

both nutritional and supplement programs to prevent and treat these

health problems. Conditions covered are:

Menorrhagia

Anemia

Healthy Bones: Preventing and

Treating Osteoporosis

Perimenopause and Menopause

Heart Health

Fatigue

PMS

Note: I have recommended specific nutrients to help

with each of these conditions. Their recommended intake

will vary depending on each woman’s diet and sensitivity.

So,

Be Nutrient Savvy

Take nutrients cautiously. Start with 1/4 to 1/3 of

the daily dose I’ve listed here and see how you feel.

You can increase gradually over two to four weeks to

the full dosage. Women with a history of food allergies

or chemical sensitivities may want to stay at a lower

dosage, perhaps half of the full dose.
