B o a t  P o s e

This exercise helps

release overall body tension. It also improves circulation

and concentration, as well as strengthening the back and abdominal

area.

Lie on your stomach with your

feet together and your arms lying flat at your sides.

 
Stretch your arms out straight

in front of you on the floor.

 
As you inhale, arch your back

and lift your arms, head, chest, and legs off the floor.

 
Hold the pose for as long as comfortable,

up to 30 seconds if you can, breathing slowly and deeply.

 
Lower your arms, head, chest,

and legs.

 
Turn your head to either side

and relax completely for 1 to 3 minutes.

 
Repeat exercise 7-10 times.
