Oxygen Therapy and Oxidants

When oxygen levels are deficient, you are at a

greater risk of developing a wide range of diseases, including cancer,

infectious diseases, and circulatory problems. Various types of

oxygen therapy have been successfully used to prevent and treat

these conditions. Two of the easiest ways to improve oxygenation

are aerobic exercise and deep-breathing. Both of these practices

can easily be incorporated into your daily health routine.

Breathing slowly and deeply allows you to take in large amounts

of oxygen. Full expansion of the lungs in a relaxed, rhythmic way

facilitates maximal oxygen uptake by the body. This type of breathing

strengthens the abdomen and chest, relaxes the body, and allows

for the most efficient oxygenation.

Aerobic exercise increases the amount of oxygen contained in the

body and facilitates proper circulation and nutrient flow. It allows

blood and oxygen to reach chronically contracted areas of muscle

tension and facilitates the removal of waste products such as carbon

monoxide, lactic acid, and other toxins. Aerobic exercise also improves

posture, which increases oxygenation through structural realignment.

(Recent studies have also indicated that women who engage in regular

exercise have a 40% reduction in the incidence of breast cancer.)

Other forms of oxygen therapy include ozone therapy, hydrogen peroxide,

and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (only administered under medical guidance).

Ozone therapy is one of the most powerful oxygenating and anticancer

techniques available, providing the body with large amounts of supplemental

oxygen. It is used in many European countries including Germany

and Switzerland. Ozone therapy is available in the US in complimentary

health clinics in states like Nevada, New York, Washington, Alaska,

and Oklahoma where it is used in combination with other anticancer

therapies such as dietary and nutritional supplement programs.

For home use, ozone air-purification machines can be used to purify

and clean the air that you breathe, and ozone water-purification

devices can remove chlorine from tap water while increasing its

oxygen content.
